GM!

I hope you all are enjoying a wonderful weekend. Before I touvh upon the heart of the entry, I wanted to thank Dyl for having the HitPiece team and HP featured creatures/recording artists such as Chase Paves, Hass Irv, and Svrite on his Music NFT Twitter-Space show this afternoon. Dyl provides a platform for recording artists (signed and independent) delving into NFTs and Blockchain. This platform allows creators to introduce themselves to listeners comprised of community members and collectors. If you are new to Twitter Spaces or haven’t checked out Dyl’s channel, I would suggest starting there.

As we have begun onboarding creators and recording artists who look to launch NFT collections, we have started to take notice of the creators and artists who would like to design NFTs for recording artists. The excellent news: WOW, the amount of talented creators looking to create the NFT collection is significant and global. The less favorable information pertains to the submission process.

Daily, HitPiece hears from creators, designers, and artists looking to design collections for recording artists. Some are established in the art space and NFT scene, while others are up and coming. This blog post is certainly more geared to those up-and-coming artists as we, me included, want to see your work and be able to show it to recording artists launching in HitPiece’s marketplace. Below are some tips I have compiled that will undoubtedly help up-and-coming creators and artists find their footing in the metaverse.

1) Build your community: At this point, it probably sounds cliche, yet it genuinely is a great place to start. The Web3/NFT/Metaverse/Crypto communities are more active on Twitter and Discord, so I would consider focusing on those two social media platforms to build your profile, acclimate to the web3/NFT/Blockchain culture, and genuinely find your community.

2) Follow & Engage: Don’t be shy; engage with the NFT communities you enjoy seeing or hearing from. Additionally, don’t be afraid to support other collections, drops, or projects from other creators. Sincerely, the NFT community is a fantastic place built on access, innovation, and artistic freedom; the community of folks who make up the scene would love to get to know you.

3) Build your portfolio: I love hearing from creators on Twitter, email, and Instagram. You name it; I am always keen to view artwork from folks who want to create NFT collections. Make it easy on the viewer (HitPiece Team, a recording artist, or another client), build an online portfolio that is easy to access. While DM’ing or emailing art files is OKAY, they might get lost or left in unread dm or email. We receive many portfolios from designers who utilize the platform Behance. Super Pro Tip: Organize your portfolios into sections defined by style etc. Keep it accessible to the end-user.

4) Evolve: Stay out of your creative vacuum, and evolve as a creator. The NFT community is still new and growing. Your art could shape the future of the community. Experiment and create projects that you are passionate about. *Don’t forget that the NFT community wants to get to know you.
